Mason Moskowitz

Founder and Operator, ShyftKick. Eight years in restaurant operations, six of them in leadership, now splitting his time between district manager and Director of AI at a 30-location QSR group.

Mason Moskowitz spent eight years in restaurants, all of it in operations, working up through store leadership into multi-unit roles. He still runs a district at a 30-location QSR group, where he is also Director of AI, working at the company level on how AI gets used across the business.

One of the first things he built there was daily and weekly food cost variance tracking. The old reporting was not granular enough to show which items moved, and once adjustments were made, the variance could not be traced back. Managers now see where they stand during the week instead of finding out after it closes.

He’s not a coder. That’s the point.

He watched operators buy tools nobody on their team understood. When the vendor stopped answering, the tool stopped working, and nobody inside the building could fix it.

So he started teaching operators to build their own, on software they already pay for. That’s how ShyftKick started. He’d rather operators be able to build what they need than rent a product from him.

ShyftKick, a Sister Company

ShyftKick is a sister company to Ad Zombies. Same family, different products, different buyers.

Ad Zombies is Ken Moskowitz’s, and it works with businesses on brand and marketing. ShyftKick is Mason’s, and it works with restaurant owners, multi-unit leaders, and directors of operations, usually running 1 to 20 locations. The job is teaching their teams to use AI on the software they already pay for: POS, scheduling, accounting.

ShyftKick doesn’t build the tools for its clients. It doesn’t sell another subscription. It teaches the team to build what they need and own it going forward.

ShyftKick launched in 2026 and is building its first group of operators now. Start with the free 8-question check at shyftkick.com/check.
