What We Look For
Current Openings
No specific openings posted right now. But we’re always interested in hearing from exceptional people.
Send Your Pitch →How We Work
Ad Zombies is remote and has been since it started in a Facebook group in 2017. Writers work from wherever they are — we’ve had people on every continent except Antarctica. What we care about is the work landing, not where you sat while you made it.
Most engagements are project-based rather than salaried headcount. If you’re good and you’re reliable, the work keeps coming. That arrangement suits some people perfectly and suits others not at all, and it’s better to know which one you are before either of us invests time.
What Makes A Pitch Land
Send work, not a resume. We’d rather read three ads you wrote than five bullet points about “driving engagement.” If the work was for a client, say what the brief was and what happened after it ran. If it’s spec, say that too — nobody’s penalized for practicing.
Tell us what you’re actually great at. “I write long-form email sequences that convert” is useful. “Full-stack marketing professional” is not. Specialists get hired here more often than generalists do.
And tell us why Ad Zombies specifically. We can tell the difference between someone who read the site and someone who mail-merged fifty agencies this morning.
Not A Writer?
We hear from designers, developers, video people, and strategists too. No promises — but if your work is genuinely good and it fits what we build for clients, it’s worth the email. If you’d rather learn the craft than join the team, the workshops are the better door, and the blog is free.
