I hate sending emails… hate it!

What he DIDN’T tell him is something I’ve learned. What you resist, persists.

For years I’ve been resisting doing the ONE thing that most of our clients do and it’s cost us dearly. Actually, it has lost us money — lots of money.

Emails.

Yes. I HATE SENDING EMAILS!

There, I’ve said it, or at least wrote it. I did so because I got called out for it in a Facebook group of 268,400 marketers. I’ve resisted it for too long.

I admitted to anyone who reads this post in ClickFunnels Official Facebook group, that the guy who owns the most rad business in the copywriting space hates sending emails.

I really own Jason a debt of gratitude with a side of bacon. 🥓 Hey, everything’s better with bacon, right? If it wasn’t for him calling me out, I probably would have kept on not doing the thing I know I should be, emailing our client base regularly.

This all started earlier in the week when I decided to dive into our most recent million dollars in sales revenue. I wanted to see which channels performed the best for us and which we should shoot.

I shared the data in an earlier email. If you didn’t see it, you either marked it as SPAM, deleted it, or unsubscribed. If you unsubscribed, you won’t see this. 😝

I shared the following details. Of the million dollars in sales revenue, here’s the breakdown:

Organic - 451K
Direct - 418K
Referral 156K
Social 150K
Email 40K

So Jason commented that email should be 30% of that revenue data. He’s right. It should be, but it’s not.

Why?

Because I had resisted emails based on a simple prejudice I had. My personal dislike for them kept me from doing the thing we do for thousands of customers around the world. Write a simple email to clients, provide value, tell a story, and ask for the sale at the end.

Of that million dollars, $300,000 to $400,000 should have come from a simple email.
