Image Types: Defined

Let’s break down the types of images we deliver: Basic & Canvas.

Basic Images

  • Are shot on a simple white background.

  • We deliver 6 total images (usually 3 images on white & 3 transparent images with the background removed).

  • All images are clean, accurate photos of your full product.

  • No props are included with basic images.

Canvas Images

  • Are shot on a simple colorful or textured background.

  • Are intended to be a backdrop for your marketing messages.

  • We deliver 5 canvas images.

  • 1-2 props may be included to balance the frame and the full product may not always be in the frame of the image.

  • No models (or non-model humans) will appear in your images.

Product Videos

You can also choose to add a product video to your order. Videos are 8-10 seconds long and show your product in motion. Much like our Canvas images, it’s meant to be used as an asset that you can add marketing messages to.

Generally, we shoot the product videos on a white background. They are delivered in 1080x1080 format with no audio and do not have any models or humans in them.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions about our photography services.

  • Can you shoot my product?
    That depends! Products must fit into a 12”x12”x12” box, otherwise, our studio cannot accommodate them. We do not offer clothing photography, as we do not have the right forms for item display.

  • Will my product photograph well?
    If your product is dot-printed, photos will look pixelated no matter what our photographers do.
    (To test this, take a photo with your phone and zoom in, if you see dots the packaging will likely not photograph well).

  • How long do I have to wait?
    To make this service so affordable, we cannot guarantee quick-turn delivery. Photos will be completed within 14 days (real days, not business ones) of receiving the product. We do not schedule photographers until the product is received.

  • Will I get the product returned?
    No. Based on how much we have to handle products, we do not return them after photography. We do recommend sending at least two of your product whenever possible. If you’re interested in having the product returned, please reach out to our customer service team to discuss before purchasing.

  • Can I split photography between multiple products?
    Purchase one set of photography for each item you’d like to have photographed. We do not “split” or subdivide photography packages for use with multiple products.

  • Can I get a set of items photographed?
    As long as they all fit in that 12”x12”x12” space (spread out nicely), yes! You’d purchase one package for the set and separate packages for each item you’d also like to have photographed individually.

  • Anything else I should know?

    We do recommend you closely check your product containers and labels before shipping. While we do edit photos, we can’t “fix” everything in post. Look for labels that are askew, have bubbles in them, etc and make sure to send us your best looking product!
